Furniture Store?

Hi, I'm thinking about doing some changes around the house but honestly I'm not doing so well financially, I need to get some furniture, can you send me your ideas, furniture store recommendations or where to go to get or buy furniture in good condition that's new and not to expensive? In other words: low price and high quality, Thanks

  1. Something a step up from what you'd have to put together, would be to go to Ashley. Ours has a huge clearance area in back. Id search out your local furniture stores, for clearance areas. Some even have clearance warehouses.
  2. Ikea sells great starter furniture. Since most of it is CKD, you construct it. Most of it has European hinges which are quality, but much is made of pressed board covered with veneers so it tends to scratch easily. If you are looking for quality and it doesn't matter whether it has been used, try consignment stores in your area. Ours only takes name brand, top end furniture like Drexel, Lexington, Hooker, Schandig, Thomasville, Ethan Allen, etc and they sell it at 1/2 - 1/3 of the original retail price so it is a real bargain.
  3. Other than Ikea or Target (which actually has some pretty great furniture), I can't think off too many places with high-quality furniture that are very affordable. However, don't completely discount used items. You'll be surprised what you can find at yard and garage sales. Some of the furniture I have seen has been of high-end quality, and you really can't beat the prices, particularly if the seller really wants/needs to get rid of the piece. I wish you the best!
