What kind of furniture do I put in my bedroom to go with my bed?

I have an iron bed, it is like old golden look, dull. It is a very beautiful piece of furniture but I don't know what else I could use in my bedroom that would go with it. What kind of side tables can I use? Is any color of wood okay? Is wood okay itself? Do I have to have any other iron pieces in the room? I honestly think that would be too much, but...I'm not sure. Help!

1. It might be too much to have side tables all iron with glass tops. Try for a wood that ties in with your fabrics - curtains and bedspreads - just get a colour that matches. Just because the bedstead is iron you don't need to make everything else the same.
2. pick a shade of wood you like & go for it. Have gold handles. Mirror with gold trim. Gold metal frame for vanity chair. In other words, wood is good. Use gold as accent.
