Not happy with my Ashley Furniture...anyone else? I bought a sofa from ashley furniture about 6 months ago. I pulled it away from the window (that is double paned with curtins) and the back of the sofa was sun bleached! And not only that, but all the cusions are missed shaped already and the sofa looks like it is a few years old already. Even my friend asked me if my sofa was older....... It is just my husband and I with no kids. Has anyone else had this problem or did I just get a bad sofa?

Cancel order with Ashley Furniture? I placed an order for couch/love seat and in turn canceled the order due to finding a better product at another store. I purchased through the free financing which is done through Citi Financial. The store manager told me that because this order was in route, I had to pay a 20% restocking fee or do a store credit. Obviously I will not pay the store 20% of a product I canceled. He then told me I had to use the store credit within 60 days, which is not an option as I do not need any further furniture, especially within 2 months. As a side note, their store credit is for full amount of purchase, which for me included a warranty on the furniture, delivery charge, as well as sales tax (not just the merchandise). I called Citi Financial to insure I will not be billed for this order as it was canceled. They stated my account did show a authorization for the amount, but it was at a $0 balance as they charge will not go through until the furniture was sent. I canceled the the account all together so no charges can be made, and they stated they would send me a letter noting account was closed. The back of the order form states "Risk Free Buying" - I don't buy that at all. This is more like strong-arm tactics. Has anyone else ever had this experience with this company, and if so, how did you handle it? I worry that they will come back on me for this canceled order, or place the charge on a canceled account.
Which brand of furniture is better quality - Ashley or Best? I'm shopping for a new couch... Have found two that I like, each with good points, but I'm not sure which to purchase. The Ashley is about $300 less, and has the cheaper mechanical mechanism for the chaise; makes me wonder if the frame quality is not as good. Both couches are made of the same material, a soft microfiber that doesn't track. The Best brand couch has the stronger lever mechanism for the chaise, and I'm told that they are more reliable. Any impressions on owning either of these brands? Obviously, I'm looking for something that's going to last a long time... Thanks for any advice!

Becoming a furniture dealer - where do I buy the furniture from? I have found in the recent days of venturing out to buy furniture that there are a lot of guys who sell the same kinds of furniture as Rooms-to-go and roomstore and ashley furniture. They claim that they get this from the same distributors and I believe it to be true because the quality is the same. They also have catalogs of furniture which they use to order. Some of these guys don't even have a warehouse, they just use public storage. My question is does anyone know how can I get started on becoming a furniture dealer? It seems to be a good business to be in. I need information on where to get the catalogs or get in touch with distributors etc.
